Holy Trinity Statue

8200 Veszprém, Szentháromság tér

The Holy Trinity Statue erected in 1750 on the order of Márton Padányi Bíró is in the centre of the square. The bishop’s own family coat of arms and his patron saint, St Martin also received a distinguished place among the statues and reliefs. The composition was prepared by the sculptor and stonemason Ferenc Schmidt. Veszprém’s twin town, Passau, aided the recent renovation of the statue after which the main square of the Castle was named.
