With this large-scale concert, Concerto Budapest and their exceptionally talented guests offer a glimpse into the world of concertos for one or more percussion instruments with some of the genre’s most compelling works.
The Polish Marianna Bednarska takes the stage as a soloist for the former rock musician Anders Koppel’s Marimba Concerto. The concert's most monumental, loudest and most spectacular piece will be Glass’ concerto: a dozen timpanis will be placed in the foreground of the stage.
